John Elford

President and Chief Executive Officer

John Elford became EPCOR President and CEO effective May 3, 2023.

He previously served in three separate Senior Vice President roles, including in EPCOR Water Canada, Corporate Services and Commercial Services, respectively; as well as in the position of Division Vice President, Operations in Electricity Services.

Since joining EPCOR in 2004, John has held roles focused on distribution and transmission, regulatory affairs, planning and project delivery, corporate finance, metering and wholesale energy, and asset management.

John is a member of the Board of Directors for the Art Gallery of Alberta and sits on the University of Alberta’s Board Audit and Risk Committee.

He is a graduate of the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Masters of Business Administration.
