The plan is our strategy to achieve our purpose, provide clean water and safe, reliable energy, and create value for our shareholder (the City of Edmonton).
The plan is organized around four focus areas.

- Ensure the protection of source water and the treatment of clean drinking water
- Maintain commitments to environmental stewardship through care for water sources and sound practices in wastewater collection and treatment
- Ensure the resilience of infrastructure and explore technologies that enhance services and support grid transformation
- Deliver cost-effective operations
3. Community
EPCOR aims to:
- Support customers by controlling our costs and seeking efficiencies through continuous improvement, business synergies and technology
- Manage emerging risks, including those related to government and regulatory changes, extreme weather, and health, safety and environmental performance
- Maintain our commitments to sustainability
- Strive to grow our reputation and earn the trust of our customers, communities and stakeholders
4. Growth
EPCOR aims to:
- Place emphasis on investing in our regulated business lines to maintain system reliability and meet the growing needs of our customers
- Consider utility investments outside of existing hubs in Canada and the U.S., where opportunities are a strategic fit
- Continue exploring water and wastewater contracted infrastructure projects, where they align with EPCOR’s objectives
