On January 24, EPCOR Water New Mexico applied for New Mexico Public Regulation Commission (NMPRC) approval of a pending grant from the New Mexico Finance Authority for a forgivable loan to produce an engineering report and conduct further testing and treatment of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in groundwater. The NMPRC requires EPCOR to notify the public of the application and offer opportunities to attend any hearings.
