Leontine van Leeuwen-​Atkins

Ms. Leontine van Leeuwen-Atkins, FCPA, FCA, ICD.D, MA, CPA, serves on EPCOR’s Board of Directors and on the boards of ARC Resources Ltd. of Calgary, where she chairs the Audit Committee, and Cameco Corporation of Saskatoon, where she chairs the Technical Committee.

Ms. van Leeuwen-Atkins was previously a partner at KPMG LLP, where she served on KPMG Canada's National Board of Directors and its Acquisitions and Admissions and Succession committees. She also has more than 30 years of experience in the industrial and energy sectors, with deep expertise in international and North American oil and gas, mining, oil sands, regulated utilities, pipelines, gas storage, power and petro- and agri-chemicals.

Her not-for-profit board experience includes serving as a Board and Audit Committee Chair/member for Calgary Economic Development, the Heritage Park Society, and the Glenbow Museum, as well as a past member of the UNICEF Calgary Patron’s Council.

Ms. Van Leeuwen-Atkins holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance (cum laude) from Acadia University, and an MBA (cum laude) from Dalhousie University. Prior to being named a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Fellow in 2022 she was honoured with the Governor General’s Gold Medal upon completing her CPA Designation. She also holds ICD.D Director designation and is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors Calgary Chapter’s Advisory Council.
