Let's face it, we all have a lot of stuff and little space to put it. Trying to figure out how best to utilize space can be challenging. Here are some fantastic storage ideas to help make the most of your space no matter what size of home you have.

Utilize under-the-bed storage

If you've maxed out your closet space and run out of room in your dresser, one valuable spot is right under your bed. There are a few options depending on the amount of storage you need and the height of your bed. The easiest is just a flat plastic storage container you can easily slide out from under your bed when you need some additional storage for clothes that you wear infrequently or are out of season. If you want to go all out, invest in a bed frame with built-in storage. 

Use lazy susans to help prevent dead pantry and shelf space

It doesn't matter how good of an organizer you are, accessing everything at the back of shelves and pantries will always be difficult. Sure, you have your most-used spices and seasonings at the front but having to reach back and find what you're looking for can be a bit of a gamble. Inserting a Lazy Susan into your shelves can help bring everything that's tucked towards the back forward with a simple spin. This is especially helpful when you have shelf space in a corner that is currently not being used because it isn't as visible.

Vacuum pack unused clothes

As the seasons change, your closet might be filled with heavy jackets or shorts that don't fit the weather. This loses valuable closet space and makes it even more crammed for the clothes you wear.
