French Creek water main flushing notice

EPCOR will be conducting water main flushing from January 13 – February 28, 2025. This essential maintenance helps remove sediment and maintain high water quality.

Water main flushing will occur from January 13 – February 28, 2025.

What to expect:

Areas: Street signs will be placed in planned areas two days prior to flushing.
Temporary changes: You may notice cloudy water or changes in water pressure during this period. Rest assured, your water remains safe to use.
Post-flushing: After flushing, we recommend running your outside water tap for about 5 minutes or until the water runs clear. This helps ensure any remaining sediment is cleared from your pipes.
Laundry precaution: Please check your water supply before doing laundry to avoid any unlikely possible staining.

Additional information:

Duration per hydrant: Flushing can take up to 60 minutes per fire hydrant, with an average of about 25 minutes.
Water bill impact: This maintenance activity will not affect your water bill.
