Things to consider when switching plans

When you choose a rate plan, make the smartest choice by considering these factors:

Your price plan
Your usage
Your energy use pattern
Seasonal changes and time of year
Lifestyle and daily habits
Residential vs. small business

Our tip

Think about switching to Time of use (TOU) or Ultra-low overnight (ULO) if you want to manage when you use your electricity. Switch to Tiered pricing if you want to manage how much electricity you use.

Eligibility

Most people in our service area can switch rate plans at any time. A few exceptions could make you ineligible:

You do not have a smart meter installed on your property
You live in a complex that has one meter for the whole building
You have an electricity contract with a competitive retailer

How to switch

Switch plans anytime in two easy steps:

Fill out our election form. You will need your account number.
Get election form
Submit your form.

Within 10 business days, you will get an update with the start date of your new price plan.
