Security lights are used throughout the city for safety purposes. They can be metered or unmetered. EPCOR maintains all existing security lights, but any new security lighting (and additions to existing security lighting) must be metered and installed by an electrician as per Part 1 of the Canadian Electrical Code.
If you have a security light at your address, you are responsible for paying for any electricity the light uses. If you are the owner of the property and no longer need the security light, contact us at 310-4300 and we can de-energize the light and arrange for it to be removed.
